This place is a joke. I reserved a 10'x15' outside unit on the website. When I arrived, the attendant told me only parking spaces were available at that price. I asked for a price for the units (they range from $100-$150 on the website) and he told me $260. I took my business to another storage unit down the street and rented a unit for $100.
I rented a climate controlled unit I put a temp sensor in unit. People leave doors open and during the day when people come and go it acts like a wind tunnel and goes below freezing constantly. They claim guaranteed cleanest facilities and the best maintained. What bull it snowed they didn't even attempt to clean it until 3pm the following day couldn't even get to our unit. Me and 6 friends shared a 10x10 storage unit for the summer, and our unit was broken into. We lost over $3,000 worth of equipment and electronics. This facility does not have security cameras inside the units, and they didn't notice that an entire hall had been robbed until we arrived at the storage unit 3 months later. Although the facility has security codes to get into the lot, they do not have individual codes for each building. The facility is clean and well maintained. Maybe it's been a while since I rented a storage unit but I don't remember being forced to insure what I'm storing. I see the value in doing so however it should ultimately be up to the renter. I felt like I was renting a car and could see dollar signs in the eyes of the one lucky enough to sell me the extra goodies that I don't really need. Before I could go any further in the rental process, I had to prove that my homeowner's policy would cover my unit... Pain in the neck!!!
