This place was nice before Extra Space purchased it. As other members say, Extra Space can input a rent increase for your unit before they notify you. As an example, if you pre-pay your rent for a year, Extra Space will input a rate increase so that you can't pre-pay again at the current rate before rent is due. I would recommend customers contact the Better Business Bureau to lodge a complaint so this can be looked into.

Questionable business practices. The rent doubled out of the blue on the third month without any notification at all. Luckily I happened to notice the increase in my credit card. Shady tactics doubling your rent to $200 a few months after you move in, considering that's when you'll likely have it packed and not want to move your stuff a second time. However, I'll gladly move all of my things to a more honest business. Very limited parking as well.

They doubled my rent without notice. Called their office and they said they sent me a "rate increase" via "post card" in the mail. How convenient when I opted in for electronic communication only. Funny how they have a different address on file when I reached out Moving out of the unit this week. Absolutely fkn trash. "5/22/2023 Your feedback is very important to our team, G. Stay Clear of this Place!!!!! my Rate went up $100 after just 2 months. The place stinks like shit every time I open the door to the place. Yes shit! It says it's climate controlled and it's not!! It's hot has fuck in there! Moving my stuff out and spending 3 x the money to do so. Don't make my mistake! Lots of better choices than this Shit hole!

I rented from Extra Space Storage from November 2016 till now. On my last visit to the storage unit I found that the entire unit was covered floor to ceiling in rat poop and pee. They even included a rotting rat. After spending $7,255 I had to throw everything inside the unit away. Upon talking to the manager at the facility he told me they were aware of the issue and that they had a bunch of units that had the same issue. My boyfriend is leasing a unit here and we hadn't been by in about a year up until a month ago. What my boyfriend uncovered when he was putting things in there was horrific! Rat feces EVERYWHERE! We intentionally wanted a climate controlled and clean facility. And that looked like the case when we toured. We are beside ourselves. Our belongings are probably ruined. Beware of RATE INCREASES that hit about every 3-4 months! The unit I rented has gone from about $170 per month to about $265 in less than 2 years! ... I've never been late with a payment. I need long term storage rental, but the increases are EXTREME. I will have to move to a different storage facility. I can no longer afford this one. ... The employees are pleasant. ~ Nana

I have used my fair share of storage units but this place is mouse infested and disgusting. We had not visited our unit for about a month and a half. When we did, there was mouse feces and urine everywhere as well as most of our things were chewed on. It's disgusting. So disappointed. Maybe the enormous mouse trap right outside of my unit should have been a clue to stay away.
