Great to work with, very clean and well managed facility and ways to use storage space. Self-access to your own storage space is very easy through key code entry. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place.
I just rented a 5x10 ft space for $100/mo with $10 of insurance per month. The manager Chris was very helpful, communicated that rate could increase based on what their corporate office researches and finds to be market rate. He did mention that I will have a 30 day notice before increase and that if I find a better rate on their website vs what corporate says, they can try and adjust accordingly. Just rented a space and found the facility to be spotless and very secure. Chris was excellent as he got me the best deal and explained everything to me. The price was great and Chris was terrific. I would recommend this facility and I would give it 5 stars!
Moved my Company from New Hyde park to Port Washington about 2 years ago and at the time we needed 3 units. The manager Ms. Mejia was very helpful and accomodating. She enabled us to get all 3 units in the same building on the same hallway. Over the lifeof this relationship we have downsized, changed units and changed payment methods, all without a hitch. Excellent Service.
I received GREAT service from the team at Extra Space Storage in Port Washington. I had a complicated move to another country and they were very helpful and knowledgeable and they were always super pleasant. I would recommend this facility!

Outrageous pricing. I've had a unit at the Port Washington location for Extra Space Storage for 4 months. I just got a notice that my fee is going up $80 per month (28%). This is $11 MORE than the current web rate (which I came in via) for my type of unit. My new monthly fee is 2x the cost for the same type of unit in Garden City and $135 more than one on Jericho Turnpike. Extra Space management replies to review in a misleading way. In my case, someone named Emily S. (from Owner... I assume that means management or corporate and not the specific storage location where one has kept a unit) provides a 1-800 phone number and asks you to call. This leaves people reading Yelp reviews under the impression they care and suggestions, claims etc are being handled when in actuality they never are. My son purchased packing supplies from the Extra Space storage to move back to college. We did not use all the supplies and I went back to the store to return the unopened supplies. The store manager, Chris Petrella, REFUSED to take back the supplies without a receipt. I had the credit card receipt but that was not good enough. He need only his receipt.
