My experience with Extra Space Storage was really great! The location was quite convenient to us. The process of reserving a unit, leasing and accessing the unit was all really smooth. The units have high quality doors and are easily accessible, but also secure. There's a neat freight elevator that makes things easy and usually plenty of cargo carts you can use. Jim's the best! I lost my keys to the unit and he got me squared away in minutes. Great service, super friendly!

I inquired about a storage space online and received a prompt and professional call from Chiquita James, the assistant manager. She invited me in to inspect the space to insure it met our needs. She had contracts/lease information in my email minutes later complete with entry codes for the loading dock. Great service/pricing, and better customer service.

I have rented from Extra Space Storage in downtown Chicago @ 901 West Adams, 60607, and @ 1170 North Skokie Hwy, Gurnee, 60031. Vince at the Chicago location is very friendly, communicative, and has been very understanding when there's been an occasional late payment. Bob and Marsi at the Gurnee location are very friendly and have kindly lent us a helping hand. They also made sure no one stole my expensive chairs when I had a shitty day and got left behind.
