This facility is nice, employees friendly and helpful. I have been storing stuff here for a long time and they tend to be the least expensive around. I do have a complaint with Extra Space as a whole. IMO they treat old regular customers worse than new customers. My rates go up regularly while new customers get breaks all the time. I think Extra Space should reward their long time customers with some incentive to stay. Right now I am looking for a less expensive alternative. I've been storing stuff here for about 2 years and have never had any issue whatsoever. I pay my monthly charge and that's that. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. Simple as that.

Storage is fine, regards billing be careful. When I moved out I gave 10 days notice and they still charged me a full month's rent for my final month. It's supposed to be prorated if you give notice, and I was there all of 3 days of that month. They said it's "impossible" to refund a credit card charge that has been done. There's a million other storage companies in this area -- use one of them. *Update* After this review went up they called to say they're sending the refund after all. I had to put my furniture in a storage unit temporarily and chose Everett because it was so much cheaper than Somerville and only 2 miles away. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness and security at the facility. The only thing to note is that these guys play by the rules. The contract says that to close out the unit you need to give 2 days notice and do a walk through. I didn't read the contract (duh) and was surprised to learn this when I moved out. i have been storing items in this storage for almost 2 yrs. There method of business is bait and switch. They offer good online deals and once you're all moved in , two months later you get a tiny white postcard ( the kind you get for junk mail) increading the rent by 75% . For example you rent storage unit from r $125 , 2 months later they tell you in 2 weeks the increasing the unit to $225. Hoping you can move your items and are forced to pay the hyperventilated rate. I just had the worst experience here. There were NO signs stating they close at 6pm. NO SIGNS NO SIGNS! I've never gone in the evening to my storage unit so how would one know other than looking on the website. And why would I do that if I've had the unit for years and never went in the evening!! NOT ONE SIGN- CLOSES AT 6pm... SOO here I am stuck behind the gate for 45 minutes trying to get out! Then the systems were down so they couldn't look up my account. The facility is just miserable to get to most any time of day except late at night, and that's not especially the time I'd want to go skulking around in this neighborhood. The traffic between Revere Beach Pkwy and 2nd St is a nightmare most of the time. When the gate isn't randomly wide open it's not a bad space. I made a phone reservation for a 10X10 unit at the Everett location. The customer service rep. " Ariana" quoted me a rate of " first month free", and $174.00 per month thereafter. I asked several times, and she was clear, that the deal was the first month would be free. I immediately went to the store location, and the employee "Tiago" showed me about the facility. I would not use this storage facility again. They increase your rate with no warning, and do so every few months. We called to give our notice on the unit almost a full month before we would be moving out and were told that the national office couldn't help us but a note would be sent to our location and would be made in our account. I called our location the next day to learn our account had already been charged and that they would not reimburse us for the days after we were moving out of the unit.
