I had a really sticky situation with my "ex" and getting her property back to her. These guys were very understanding, and very easy to work with. With great prices. Thanks again to Extra Space Storage for giving me the middle ground I needed in my situation. Thanks Again. I would recommend these guys to anyone.
My mom had stored with them before so she highly recommends them. I went in 1 day to just talk and take a look at some of the storage spaces. Jim helped us, he was GREAT!! He answered all my questions, made suggestions, helped us out on what exactly is can fit, walked us around even though it was 7 degrees out. He was super friendly & nice, keeped a smile on his face & made us feel welcomed. Im glad I choose Extra Space, I feel comfortable here & secure. Thank you for your services
The property is well taken care of and I especially like the security features. Their rates and specials are better than what I had found and the staff was,very informative and helpful during the process.
DO NOT USE THEM!! They will double or triple your rate without notice. I was paying $71 a month and my last autopay went to $142 a month. Crazy how they can get away with this. Use another storage facility.
They do not have set price increases, but your rate will double in 3 months then 6 months. No chart to explain pricing or a set percentage increase overtime. They falsely advertise low rates. We started at $62 for a unit and now it's $106. Other unit also went up, no reasonable person should tolerate. I believe what they are doing is illegal.
At end Oct 2021 I Got a great deal over the phone for a unit at Affton ESS, large enough for a mid-size SUV 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. Contract price quoted and paid $165/mo...addl charges plus deoisit, their mandatory content insurance, their $11 pad-lock. It is now 4mos since original agreement of $160/mo lasted 3mos... Payment is automatically payable through credit card required at sign-up. It is now March...my $160/mo has increased 42.5% since Oct 27 2021. New rate: $235. My complaint is with the company, not the location. The location is cmanaged well, and my unit and the path leading to it are clean and well lit. However, the company's policy is to alert customers of rate increases, not by email, but by a postcard in the mail. People are more likely not to pay much attention to a postcard, especially when it arrives in a batch of junk mail. DO NOT use this storage facility. We rented a unit 6 weeks ago to store extras while we list our house. Last week we opened the unit to find that it's is infested with cockroaches. We informed them of the infestation and it's been 5 days and they still have not had a pest control company there. We are having to go through every item in every box and much of our items are being thrown out to ensure we don't move the infestation into our new home! Completely dissatisfied!!

Everyone was friendly until a structural issue caused water to flow into my locker. "Should've gotten rental insurance," you say? Well, the structural issues of a building are the responsibility of the facility, and not the rental insurance's liability, according to the insurance and the lawyer(s) I called. The only thing that was completely ruined was my couch...this was an indoor, climate controlled unit, mind you...and they refused to cover it.
