These four stars are for the amazing staff: Karin, Ashley, and Edward. The people who work here are friendly, warm, funny, happy and helpful. I trust them. They made my many experiences there enjoyable, helped me get the right size unit at the best price, and made me feel more relaxed amidst the stress of moving. The (fifth) missing star belongs to the Extra Space corporation. They are very aggressive about raising rates. They usually raise your rent by about 50% just 3 months after you sign up and again 6 months later. ... read more

The ladies at the front were very nice and helpful. Ashley was on it when we lost our lock key and was able to cut off and even gave us a new lock for free. She's the best! I would highly recommend renting a unit here. Also the units themselves are in great condition.

Let me break it down into what's great, good, and weird! Great- the staff! Karin, Elaine and Ashley are doing a great job. They're professional and friendly. Good- Extra Space Storage is in a good location. Off the highway. Easy in and out. The property is clean and well maintained. Karen and the staff at the Carpinteria Extra Space Storage have been wonderful and kind. This facility is clean and well maintained during the many years I've been a renter, way before before Extra Space took ownership. Unfortunately every few months, Extra Space Storage is HIKING UP THE Rental Unit PRICES ($50 to $100+ ), which doesn't allow for customer appreciation or basic clientele support. I chose this storage 12 years ago because it was clean and well-kept. I chose a 2nd floor unit to avoid mold on my books and papers. For 12 years the people and place have been impeccable. The hallways are clean, the lights go on automatically, the people are helpful. Great place.
