I chose this storage 12 years ago because it was clean and well-kept. I chose a 2nd floor unit to avoid mold on my books and papers. For 12 years the people and place have been impeccable. The hallways are clean, the lights go on automatically, the people are helpful. Great place.

I've been storing my things at this facility for years. It used to be called The Storage Place but now it is run by Extra Space Storage. While it is still a great facility (clean, maintained, and great location), the prices are regularly increased under the new ownership and often by a substantial amount. This is unfortunate, especially for those who were accustomed to having fair and consistent rates in years past. Having said that, I appreciate the helpful and courteous staff.

I recommend Extra Space Storage in Carpenteria, CA. Working with Karin is wonderful. She is incredibly knowledgeable as she has worked with this facility before it was bought by Extra Space. As long as she is behind the scene, I have total confidence in leaving my belongings in one of their units.

I like the staff and location however the company raised the rent if my families unit while advertising the same space for $75 dollars less. Why raise rent & advertise lower rates??? Misleading. The girls that work the front desk are AMAZING They have been very kindhearted & helpful.

I recommend this storage place everyone I spoke with was super friendly and very helpful! I had to keep changing my move out date because my new place wasn't ready and they worked with me on dates and cost. Amazing people! If I ever need a storage again, I will most definitely come here without a doubt!

I had the best experience at Extra Space Storage today-seriously. After calling a couple of storage places to find the best rate for storing my car, I was told of this place's first-month-free promotion & immediately said yes. I went to tour the facility & Dominique made the whole experience so easy and quick. I was in and out in under 15 mins, and I'm actually looking forward to working with this business (I realize this is an odd statement about a storage facility..). Smart & friendly employees really do make a difference!

I have to give them 5 Stars for being the most easiest process, simplest and stress free too. I was able to rent over the phone and complete everything via email with Docusign. If only life was this simple Ed was great, friendly and informative, then you get to the facility and meet Dominique (an associate) and she just welcomes you as if you've known her a long time. The location is off the frwy, and so clean. I recommend this business to anyone in need of a storage.
