This was a very difficult session for me. It was necessary to talk about the initial trauma I experienced while serving in Djibouti. The next sessions will be equally as intense but necessary. I do have faith in my counselor to help guide me through this process. The next week will be difficult but I am using the coping mechanisms and guidance.

Madeline Flores-Ramirez started helping my 16 yr old son with intrusive thoughts and anxiety, among other things. As soon as he started working with Madeline, she gave him practical tools and skills that helped him right away. She was able to connect with him rather quickly, cutting right to the issues. The problems he was facing seemed so big and a battle he would always have to fight. But after working with Madeline, that is not the case. He’s thriving and when times get tough he has skills to help him get through it.
