My husband and I have been members of First Credit Union since 1990. We have never had a problem, customer service is always excellent whether calling in to the phone center or visiting a branch location (we visit primarily the Gila Springs Branch or the Devonshire branch). There are tellers at each location that know me, by name, when I walk in the door. I will always bank with a "credit union" as opposed to a "bank". Taking an auto loan from first credit Union should be the very Last thing you ever do in life!! They are predatory lenders! I took a refinance auto loan from them, it was as by Far the worst loan I've ever had! I have a 720+ credit score, but clearly somewhere in the very fine print ;The loan was so Front end Loaded of my $850 payment only $130 went to principal!! They have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. The reps are rude, condescending and arrogant. I'd run from this place if I had any options.
new FCU customer here. the lack of customer service is astounding. emailed 3x with a question without a response. called in and speak to someone with zero motivation or a care in the world. answered the phone and said I needed to be put on hold 2 to 3 mins so they can pull up my account. I haven't even payed my first payment and already not a good sign of what's to come. I would beware...
So I got a new loan From FCU. I struggled for so long trying to set up online payments. Finally got that part fixed. However before I could get that taken care of, I was calling them and making payments over the phone, for an extra $10 fee. My last payment I made over the phone the gentleman I was speaking to, confirmed my payment, which was actually $0.25 short. we have bankEd with First Credit Union for 15 years. These last two years they have drastically went downhill. we have been locked out of our account over the weekend numerous times. We call and they can't access our account, and unable are unable to tell us why we cant access our money. When you call the after hours number they say they don't have authorization and we have to wait until Monday morning. The customer service is always friendly on the phone and in the branch. I believe the problem is up the chain.
Had high hopes with this Credit Union after coming over from Bashas,and the merger.Bashas was excellent!As I am writing this I have now been on the phone on hold for well over an hour.This is not acceptable.This did not ever happen with Bashas.Maybe 10 minutes tops.My time is valuable Also.This is not the first time.Gotta improve or myself,and many,many long time members are gonna be gone!

I was really hoping this credit union would work out but we couldn't even get an account opened. My son is moving to the area and had to be there in person to get a membership. We showed up to get a membership but we had to have an appointment. I counted 9 people working and one customer. I told them that we needed to get the membership and apply for a loan because I'm leaving back out of state and he needed a car before I left.
