I've boarded my Pitbull here twice. She's gotten sick after both times. She is not approved for group play because she's very dog selective. Not a problem because FDR has the 1:1 staff:dog play packages which are so appreciated! It's difficult to find a place that caters to dogs who aren't able to be super social and have individual rooms so there's no room for error between dogs. These circumstances really narrow down our boarding options and FDR has seemed like the best option. In February we boarded our dog for 4 days... read more

Dear Cynthia, Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for any distress this situation caused you and your pet. We enforce strict vaccination policies and follow stringent cleaning protocols at all times in our facility. At Folsom Dog Resort, we require every dog that comes in to our facility to be vaccinated annually. While the vaccination, much like a human flu-shot, isn’t 100% effective; dogs who have been vaccinated for kennel cough usually develop a lighter case and symp... read more
Highly recommend dog training here! I did the 10 day boarding option for my 6 month old huskey and when I came to pick her up she was a whole different dog! In the best way possible. Still her happy go lucky self just more disciplined and seeking guidance and leadership. FDR taught me the tools to incorporate at home and set me on a return training lesson (at no cost it's included in your 100% satisfaction guarantee you purchase with the boarding) the prices for training are competitive and definitely fair as well (I paid 15... read more
I was nervous to board my 12 year old high anxiety puggle Cooper but he did great at Folsom Dog Resort. I love that he isn't kept in a kennel overnight and has his own space to move about. It's also nice they separate the dogs by size. Cooper came home from his stay happy and tired. I will definitely bring him back
We have a high energy German shepherd. Folsom Dog Resort trainers Bailey and Mike know how to handle our GSD. All of the handlers at Folsom Dog Resort have been so good to Wotan. When we get in the car to head over I'm sure he knows where we are going. He is visibly excited. :). We started using Folsom Dog Resort last year for training and then boarding. We could not be happier with their care for our dog. 1000% recommend this place for your pet training and boarding. So thankful.
Business response:
Thank you for the wonderful feedback, Catina. We truly appreciate you entrusting us with Wotan's care and training, and have shared your review with our team. Thank you again!
I wanted to sincerely thank all of the staff from the bottom of my heart!! I never leave my baby anywhere and we had to make the tuff decision to board him for 5 days. This place went above and beyond. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. We have a very SPOILED English Bulldog and he tend to be a bully but they handled him with care and he did amazing!! We will be returning in April! We LOVE you guys and thank you so much! Kylo and the Jonson family!
Business response:
Alicia, thank you so much for the wonderful review! We can't wait to have you guys back for your next visit!! <3
Hands down the best daycare around! Our dogs shake with excitement pulling into the parking lot. I feel 100% confident that the staff loves, respects and treats our dogs with care. Their communication is beyond excellent. The training center is a must do! We take our dogs everywhere thanks to their help. From relatives houses to tent camping to paddle boarding to VRBOs, our dogs are well trained and can travel anywhere with us.
Business response:
Thank you so much for the great review. We love doggos, and we love what we do. Thank you for entrusting your pups with us!
Folsom Dog Resort always treats my dog like their own. He comes home tuckered out from a long day of playing, but with better manners than before. I trust this place with my life and recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their doggy children.
I wish I could rate this higher! My dog loves coming here for daycare and overnight more than anything! The staff really takes care of him and I can tell my his excitement once we start driving in that direction. He comes home and sleeps for the rest of the night/morning because he had so much fun playing all day! I would recommend Folsom dog resort to anybody! They treat us like family!!
Important qualifier: as the daughter of a local Sacramento veterinarian who boarded small animals at his Carmichael location for over 4 decades, I can say that FDR is a great option for your pet. And while a pet hospital can be a good option, staff is rightly focused on caring for sick animals as a primary function (certainly some hospitals are more equipped than others to Board pets I do acknowledge). Why expose your healthy pet to kennel cough when you can use FDR? Folsom Dog Resort and Training Center has devoted itself... read more
