We had a great experience at this place recently. Boarded our small dog and cat while we vacationed. Friendly staff and clean facility. We will be back now fro training and day care as our pup seemed to be sad that he was coming home! :-)

My almost two years old rescue Belgian Malinois, Lulu, started coming to Doggie Day Care about four weeks ago. That girl has energy to burn and boy, does she, here at Folsom Dog Resort. She comes home limp as a noodle and stays that way for about two days. The constant attention and interaction is what dogs require when they have high energy needs. One day of doggie day care a week can provide better attention, stimulation and socialization than a daily dog walker. I bought the package of twenty days. In addition, they can b... read more

The customer service here is great and people are friendly so let me make that clear. The add on's they try to sell you are never ending and they will keep pushing you to run the bill up thats how I felt. There is a $6 per day (insurance) they make you buy and never mention the charge unless you ask and it's not on the pricing sheet either! I asked for a quote when I dropped dogs off never got one. The way the bill is broken up is there to confuse you plain and simple. They took it off but my radar is telling me this pla... read more

We have just moved to the area and needed a place to board our 2 dauschunds over the Xmas holiday. On Christmas night, our 11 year old wiener dog suffered a disc rupture while staff was taking him out on a walk; he went down and had no use of his back legs. This is a common occurrence in these types of dogs, called IVDD, and happens with no warning. The folks working on Xmas night were amazing; they called us right away -we had just returned from the Bay Area and had planned to pick up the dogs in the AM. They met us at the ... read more

Needed to board our 2 dogs and 2 cats for a few days last week. Checked a couple places and decided that Folsom Dog Resort was the place for us, even though it seemed a bit pricey - we got a bad vibe from the other place. Everything went very well - I particularly appreciated the communication from the staff before, during and after our stay. As it turns out, out 14 year-old Pugh developed a kennel cough during her stay - you'd think that would influence my rating, and it did - in a positive way. The Pugh is going to be ... read more

The Pet Resort trainers were able to train our Shiba Inu to come Off Leash! For those that are familiar with this breed, know that is a near impossible feat! Her safety is of paramount importance to us and they were about le to accomplish it as well as focusing her to heel, go to her place, and hone her other basics to a faster sit, down and stay!! With their program we are able to continue her training at home with their ongoing support with no additional costs. We are so happy we chose the Pet Resort for training our Shi... read more

We brought our dog to the Folsom Dog Resort for the Smart Dog training experience. As a 16 month old Shepard/Boarder Collie mix our Briney is a big, strong and highly enthusiastic boy. Though he has a great nature, our concern was that he was going to be too much for us to handle. Out of desperation, we brought him to the Folsom Dog Resort. It was the best investment in time, money and resources. After 10 days he was calmer, we learned how to keep him active and engaged without stressing ourselves out and we can walk him wit... read more

The Folsom Dog Resort has watched my dog on several occasions when we have had to go out of town. The staff is great and alway making sure you get a report of how your dog did while staying there. The front desk is alway welcoming and and very efficient. I would recommend them to anyone who wants piece of mind.
