My loved one is a resident at Pacifica Senior Living Fresno. The staff is AMAZING! However, it's the new owners that are failing. The carpets are nasty and should be replaced like we were told at the time of our sign up. Their staff is way over worked. The new owners don't treat them very well and staff are leaving and they aren't hiring more people to replace them. The food quality and portion sizes are going down hill FAST! We have a temporary Executive Director who is doing a tremendous job and will continue to do so until the permanent Executive Director starts on March 1st. We have sent over your comments to the community for them to look into the dining quality.
Overall, nice. Meals lacking. Too much grease, Hispanic food, cockroaches (saw 1 in kitchen area.) Maintenance poor, housekeeping weak (lackluster). Overall, appears they are trying to save money such that it compromises residents needs/comforts. Staff good with few exceptions. Lots of residential complaints. I am comfortable for cost. Before covid it would be a 4.5 out of 5 stars, and after covid they had to close down completely which we understand. The only way we could see our loved one, was to call her and she come outside. There was two ways we could do it, either come outside, or we could go to her patio and she could stand at her window and talk. She is 96 years old and we felt that she was to unstable to stand outside. The experience we had at Brookdale Fresno wasn't the greatest. Thankfully, our home was still available so we moved out. There was absolutely no privacy and the staff walked in without knocking every morning which i did not like at all. The food was awful! Good thing the community is pet friendly although the patio is not a decent size for our two little dogs. Our experience with the staff wasn't all bad but we are definitely glad to be home.
