My first visit to Gentle Dental in Happy Valley was a little disconcerting at first, but worked out well in the end. By phone I had been assured that x-rays, exam, and cleaning were to occur during my visit. Upon arrival I was informed only x-rays and exam would occur. The dental assistant explained they have no knowledge of the level of effort required for a patient cleaning until they have performed an exam. This makes sense. Once again, Gentle Dental have surpassed my expectations. The willingness to accommodate my personal needs is exceptional. The candor and honesty with my proposed treatment and common sense options were presented and I am thankful for that. Thank you Gentle Dental for taking care of my specific situation.
Friendly staff and first visit went smoothly. Excellent oral hygienist who really seemed to be very supportive of my health issues. Thank you. Going back in a week for dental care and hoping shots will be easy and not too painful!
Honestly, my daughter had an appointment and I sat in the waiting area. I observed how the front desk lady greated females as they came in to check in. I compared that to my greeting and when I approached to schedule the surgery appointment. Safe to say, male guests do not get the same treatment as female guests. Dr. Joseph is friendly, personable and listened to me when I told him I was having nerve pain. He fixed the problem in a matter of minutes and this is something that has been going on for many years. Patty is great too- I have had a couple of visits with her and she has a calming presence which is exactly what you want and need for dental visits.
