I hired Greenwood Movers based on their reviews. I had a last minute challenge as I had to change my moving schedule. There were very flexible with changing the schedule even offering to store my belongings. However, their movers took their time on a Saturday, when billing was higher, even commenting on the hours and what they were making. The movers also damaged my walls in my new home and my furniture and didn't say a word about the damage. Greenwood Moving & Storage gave us a quote. The quote was for like a couple thousand dollars. They were here October/November of 2016. They did contact us back with stuff we wanted them to. The price was high, that's why we did not go with them. I would probably not use them in the future for estimates.
These 3 guys moved someone else all days when they returned they found out they had my mom's stuff to move. They were great, moved all furniture without a hitch and it started to poor rain as they were moving everything in the apartment. (sorry it has taken this long to returns survey) on the 3rd floor. They also took the time to wipes the furniture dry. These guys deserve or at and then some. Absolutely
It took them 6 hours plus travel time to complete this move. They have moved a 3 bedroom home in that amount of time for me. I remained in the apartment while they hauled things down stairs. So what they did out at the truck I don't know. Another company made this move a year ago for us and it took 4 hours or less and there were fewer boxes. I feel they didn't work as well as they should have. My family has used Greenwood Movers a number of times but will not be using them for future moves.
The company called to confirm services & they told me exactly what to expect & it happened as they described.
We did not end up using a moving company. We decided to move the furniture ourselves to save the money. <br />
They arrived on time, loaded the truck in the order we asked for, delivered to the new address, and was done in less than 4 hours. We've used Greenwood Movers twice before, and, they completed the work professionally as they have in the past. If we ever move again, I'm sure we'll be calling them! <br />
With experienced movers, you would expect the crew to be in full control of all furniture items at all times. I think this crew could have benefited from one more crew member as they seemed to struggle with heavier items, and one of the crew members was only 2 days into being new on the job. I think all the furniture should have remained wrapped in pads and shrink wrap and kept on a dolly until it was placed in the house, but the pads and wrap was all removed in the truck before the furniture was either carried or placed on ... read more
