It was wonderful. It was the perfect place for our first date. Food and service was wonderful.

There were 6 of us dining. Two sent their food back because it arrived cold. Two others had salads delivered in dirty bowls. Onion soup tasted good but was very salty. Very loud and difficult to talk. Have eaten there in the past & had a much better experience.

I have been here many times. Each time has been great. The food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I will continue to keep coming back.

We were celebrating the fact each member had a recent birthday. Our server did not ask anything about if we were celebrating. She did ok except that she didn’t seem happy on a few occasions such as when we said we had 4 people not the 3 she assumed and when we asked for a knife. We ordered 2 orders of fried green tomatoes without knowing how many was in an order. It would have been great for her to mention that to help us avoid over ordering.

We always get a good meal at Grindstone but last night 3 of us got salmon and all 3 entrees were dry and overcooked. Will definitely still patronize this restaurant. Just won't get the salmon. It's a great restaurant with great food. We have never had a bad meal here until last night.

We made a reservation for 1:15 and requested a standard table. This was shown as available when the reservation was made. Upon arrival they said they did not see we had requested a standard table and had to sit in the bar. It was noisy and the seating was not comfortable. Our server, Carl, was excellent. The food was ok.
