WHO WE ARE Growing up in Indiana is a privilege. Our love is growing unique restaurants in the Midwest. It’s our roots. It’s in our DNA. It’s tradition. It’s family, and it’s hard work. We come by it naturally though. After all, it started through the generations with our father & grandfather, Carl Fogelsong. A man who initially executed his vision and was eventually named to the Indiana Restaurant Hall of Fame. Since 1965 our business remains committed to its roots: love of community, friends and family, and a universa... read more

We got our table right away. Our server and the food were great. We will be back.
Great place for casual dining inside or out! Service is fast and friendly and the food is outstanding!
I very much enjoyed this place. The environment and food were incredible. The selection of beers was outstanding and our server was extremely helpful. We consider this one of our go to places from now on!
Ate on the patio- food and service were great!
Not impressed. I had reservations and was seated promptly at the kitchen exit next to a party with a hyper active toddler. I ordered a brisket sandwich which ended up being stringy roast beef with little flavor and a stale, dry roll. On the plus side the sweet tater fries were great. My mate got chicken and noodles which she said was just ok. The place was very busy on a Saturday night and I attribute that to a lack of local competition.
Food was delicious, as always. The skid brisket was so good - I would definitely get it again. A good selection of sides. French onion soup was delicious, but surprisingly not very hot. They always have specials. My husband’s Monon Burger was very good, as well. We return to Grindstone on the Monon, because the food is always good.
We ate at Grindstone on the Monon on a Tuesday evening and it never disappoints. The food and service were excellent as usual. Only thing I would change is the spacing of restaurant guests. We felt like the tables around us were too close in proximity. We chose Tuesday evening so the crowd would be lighter and spacing would be comfortable. That was not the case. We will definitely request a back corner table next time.
The food is not only delicious, but presented beautifully. We ordered a wide variety—brisket Mac and cheese, tenderloin, nachos, chicken fingers, ahi tuna steak and salads. All were wonderful!! Nice wine and tequila selection as well.
Delicious and and family friendly environment with a beautiful aesthetic!
