We go here about once a week and live the staff and food. We like how the menu is updated periodically but with standard favorites kept on.

Our group ate at Grindstone on the Monon after the Indianapolis 500. All of us agreed this was a great choice on our part as the food, service and ambience was perfect for a delicious post race meal. Our server, Chloe, was fantastic and did a great job taking care of us. If we stay on the Northside of Indy next year, this will definitely be our place of choice for our post race meal.

We were finally able to see some good friends after a year of COVID19, due to health concerns. We were seated at a table where my girlfriend could not hear, she is hearing impaired, and she kept getting bumped into by wait staff during the entire meal. When we were seated, we asked for a different table but we were denied by the staff, stating they were too busy. So overall the food and drinks were good but the accommodations were not!

We had a pleasant lunch with friends. One in the party does not eat meat. She requested mushroom sandwich. When her food arrived it was a burger even though she had requested mushrooms only. My other friend and myself had the half Cobb Salad which was great. The zucchini bread that accompanied the salad was excellent. We have often dined on the patio which is quite lovely. This time we were inside due to a rainy day. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting great American food.
