Dr. Mena has been the brightest light during a very scary and difficult time. I was an employee and a patient of a large healthcare provider here in Louisiana who repeatedly dismissed my labs, imaging and consultations for a year and a half. Is the best doctor I ever had in my lifetime which is 75 years . He is extremely patient and has the highest concern for your wellbeing.
Dr. Mena is very thorough in care and treatment. He listens to my concerns and addresses every issue.
December 26, 2023 was my first visit with Dr. Mena, and I am very excited to gain him as one of my physicians. Before checking my problem, he checked my meds and thoroughly view my medical history. I am very pleased with my visit. He also explained my condition in a way I could understand. I look forward in my future visits with him. I thank Dr. Jewel Crockett for her recommendation. Both are awesome physicians!
Dr. Mena reviewed pages of reports and notes, compared my bloodwork and within minutes, he looked at me with concern, and said I was critically ill and needed immediate attention. It wasn’t anything to do with my positive ANA, but my hemoglobin and other levels. He called my pcp immediately and said I needed to see a hematologist asap. We’re starting anew next week.
Dr. Mena Takes the time to listen to what the patient has to say. He does not get tunnel vision or focus on one aspect. Dr. Mena looks at the whole picture and is willing to work as part of a team of other Physicians to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient. I Highly recommend Dr. MENA.

There is absolutely no way I would be where I am today had it not been for Dr Mena. He reviewed all of my labs, medical history and asked questions. He created a treatment plan for my RA.
