Dr Mena is attentive to details of patient's history and thorough in his explanation of disease process and implications for treatment modalities. He is very empathetic and his unhurried interest seems genuine.
I highly recommend this doctor. He listens to all of your concerns thoroughly and really cares about you.
I was completely disregarded with my comcerns of symptoms and felt chastised because I was not currently having a flare. No history was reviewed because he took one glance and said, “that’s just too much!” I was then told he sees people that “can’t walk,” and was very dismissive of my photo diary of facial flares and handed me a sheet to read on a positive ANA not meaning anything; my PCP referred me because an allergist had already ruled out any allergic reaction!
