My husband has only been here for 2 days and they are 1: Not answering telephone calls and 2: Are not giving him his medications on time! I will be bringing him home as soon as possible!

Staff does not tell workers to keep an eye out on patients for unusual conditions. Staff does not like having family advocates around because it exposes their lack of care for their loved ones!

My sister went to this facility April 15, 2024 and at first it seemed like a good fit. The facility was 5 minutes from my house and it was convenient. I went to the facility daily to see my sister and see how she was being treated. I asked for a meeting with the different departments who were responsible for my sisters care. The director of the physical therapy department needs a course on how to give people eye contact when talking to the person and stop being dismissive. I would not recommend working for this place. I have a limited work availability due to being a full-time student and in trade school. I got hired, thinking they would be able to accommodate to my availability after I mentioned to not only HR but the DSD before getting hired that I will be only able to work the days I have requested to work. After I finished orientation, I have not worked a single shift. All of my shifts were cancelled the hour before coming into work. Highland Palms was chosen because of the good reviews it had. We put OUR trust, in these professionals to take good care of our loved one. 2 weeks ago, my family member, who had been at this facility for nearly the majority of the year, passed away. Ultimately, due to the GROSS level of negligence he received from this place. His immediate family was NEVER notified when he was transported to the hospital with severe phnemonia. The executive staff in charge are all liars. They make statements regarding the care of patient, and none of it is true. They are so incompetent, it's comical. The Administrator hides out, and does not return calls ---- he's always in a "meeting or out of the building". There are 3 management employees that all cover for each other ----- it's a joke.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to send there loved ones here. My dad was here for about 2 1/2 months & we had him removed because of the way he was being treated & lack of caring for him. I did my research & read reviews before sending him here but we didn't have much of a choice bc he had covid & not many places accepted covid patients & we didn't want to send him far from home. His Dr recommend we send him to a rehabilitation center to help him get his strength back & get him back to himself after going through health problem... read more

This facility is a joke. They said they specialize in dementia care but yet they don't know how to handle a dementia patient. Instead of making sure that my grandpa was taken care of and discharged correctly, because they didn't know how to take care of him, they sent him to another facility without my families knowledge! I would not recommend having your loved one come to this facility for any type of care. They are negligent and have no code of ethics or moral care.

This facility almost cost me my life due to their complete lack of concern and out right neglect.They knew from when i first arrived that i was vegetarian due to faith based reasons yet when i left for the hospital i was found to suffer from severe malnutrition.They made a Medical appointment through their Social Services Department however they denied ever having made that appointment.During that appointment they received a Doctor's order that i recieve life saving medication they not only didnt provide it they didn't infor... read more
