Don't waste your time - unless you need a large, awkward weight training tool. I just wanted to let you know that I ordered this - best price was on Amazon, and I'm glad it was! My first one scanned, but wouldn't copy or print (some kind of update was needed and had to be done by them). They sent a second one. Goes through toner way too fast! The printer does a great job at printing nice looking documents, but it goes through toner like a beast. I purchased genuine brother toner from Amazon and in less then three months, all three of them need to be replaced. I have only printed between 500-1000 pages, almost exclusively B&W. I can't afford to spend $200 on new toner every three months!

Received Defective Printer Bought this printer 8 months ago for our office and it has never worked properly. I have called and worked with 3 different Brother agents. The initial problem is that once the printer is set up and operating, within 10 minutes, it will not connect with my laptop to print wirelessly. Unplug the printer, plug in again and it works fine for 10 minutes, then loses connection to laptop again. Will never print again until I unplug and plug in again. BE WARNED.. worked for 1 year until "firmware update" - fried the motherboard. Now garbage and Brother hasn't offered to help BE WARNED... my machine worked great for 1 year until I ran a "firmware update" which fried the motherboard. I spoke with a couple of service techs in CA and they've had the same experience several times. So basically my 279.00 machine lasted 1 year now have to replace it. The Definition of Underperformance and Terrible Support. This product does not have supported drivers for Mac OS 10.12, and I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone waiting to talk to mac tech support. It will work on one computer, but not on any others unless connected via USB. Airprint is a non-starter. I will return this product as it is almost farcical how poor their 'easy to use' software is. Useless machine. I've owned it 2 months Useless machine. I've owned it 2 months. As another reviewer notes, paper jams constantly. Don't rely on Brother's customer support--assuming you can get them to answer your e-mail. They won't refund your money, and even if the machine is defective, you have to pay to ship this 50+ lb. machine back to them. Buy something else.
Paper jams! The duplex function simply does not work. Paper jams EVERY SINGLE TIME. Do not buy!!! (And yes, I have applied the latest firmware update).
