Annoying Generic Flaw - Envelope Handling/Capacity Noisier but faster than previous HP monochrome laser jet. Very easy to set up. Three complaints. The manual instructions for the mechanical parts are not clear. For example, not easy to identify name parts for printing envelopes (paper stopper?) or their orientation (does the envelope feeder tray extender part really stay bent up at an odd angle?) Brother makes the best monochrome laser printers A fantastic network printer. Very fast and quite with suburb quality. Holds a full ream of paper with ease.
Nice software. Mac Apple compatible Super smooth, fast. I'll just say that this device has wonderful app, easy to use. Do not need to print from the app every time. Set up app on iOS or OS Mac Sierra once, and every time thereafter can print with two clicks from any document, webpage, photo, etc. Winner!
Plug it in and it is ready to go! Here was my setup procedure: Take it out of the box. Remove the tape and packing pads. Load paper. Plug it in. Tap in the WiFi password on the little touch screen. Done! All of my Apple stuff, including laptops, phone, iPads, see it as a printer. Printing works great. Super easy, and the only wire is the power cable. I love it. It is also fast and quiet. It warms up quickly and blasts out pages when it gets going, and then it is silently on standby.
great printer I use it for personal use, very good. zero flaws. amazingly a lot better than HP... best printer i owned so far. so far had it for 4 years and no jam, no toner replacement, about 2000 prints in! best in the business printer. the problem is for most people they use cheap paper and store printer in cold area.... use good paper and store in room temperature area!
Good Economical Printer. I have been using this printer for a few weeks now and have found it fast and reliable. The actual construction is rugged and looks like it will last a long time. This has been my experience with other Brother printers that I have purchased. As a bonus, a full pack of toner was actually included with the printer.
