An easy to set up high(er) speed printer This is a great network printer. Setup was very easy. It involved little more than unpacking the printer and connecting it to an Ethernet cable to a Netgear Ethernet switch. The printer comes with security features, which can be a good thing. I configured the printer so that it was only visible on the local network, behind the firewall, so I did not make use of the security features. I am used to inkjet printers, which are much slower than this printer. We have used this printer to pr... read more

Trouble-Free Wireless Setup with a Mac Brother laser printers print great—especially their printers at this price point. Fast, clear, huge volume per toner cartridge. The thing I was worried about was the wireless setup. I recently had a bad experience with the setup for a different model, but I'm happy to report there were no problems setting up this one. Less than 10 minutes elapsed between the time I broke the tape on the box until the time I printed my first job. I used a Mac laptop with no CD drive, so those ten minutes... read more

Work horse I'm writing a book and needed a printer that could print lots of pages fast. This printer fills the bill perfectly. It is quiet and efficient and was easy to set up (and I'm not a technical guy). I have heard that Brother is a reliable brand and I look forward to many years of printing with this machine. Another added benefit is the paper bin which holds the most paper of any of my printers.

A relatively cheap (price and build) printer stuffed with impressive workgroup features. For (home) offices that print more than a standard printer can churn out, this is a great value for money for several reasons: The printer includes an 8000 page toner cartridge The printer can do up to 48ppm (I counted 43) The printer supports duplex, Ethernet, wi-fi and cloud printing The printer supports secure printing with a pin code (this is a great feature in shared offices, or offices that print important personal documents) There... read more

Great for a medium-sized business Never met a Brother printer I did not like... This printer set up easy and I love the app for my android phone.. you need to take your time and understand the difference between the Brother printers.. The model codes can be confusing at first but they are really easy to understand once you catch on..

Great Laser Printer for a Small Office with Low Printing Cost This is the one of the several Brother printers that we have in our office. Previously I have used HP, Lexmark, Dell, Ricoh and Canon printers. In my experience, Brother are the most reliable and trouble free printers. After about 4 - 5 years, they start giving you error messages like replace parts, replace drum etc. That is usually the time to replace the printer. At 48 ppm, this is a very fast and high capacity printer. Print quality is not the best but decent a... read more

If you don't need the extra features, another printer is a better value For cheap printing cost and cheap printers for the small business or workgroup, you can't beat these little Brothers. I also love the ones with the bigger paper capacities. It's so satisfying to thow in a whole ream of paper and printing till it runs out! It's a fast, easy to use printer. It's really easy to set up. For a wired network, you just plug it in and go. You can set a static IP on the device right from the built in screen. For a wireless connec... read more

Good small office printer Brother printers have really evolved. I'm happy to say they are now as robust and dependable as the HPs of old. Well, at least the more recent ones. I wanted this printer because I now want one single networked printer to be centrally located for my whole house. I work from home and I need a printer with print quality and reliability that would be the same as any small office. I also need to print out large quantities of material and at times have emptied an entire cartridge of a standalone printer ... read more

Not good printer W bought printer in June. We started having paper jams and paper pick up issues 1 week later, now we are not able to print double sided because it jams. In order for machine to print we needed to remove double sided tray. I was not able to return it since I did not have the original box, which is crazy because we did not plan on returning the machine. Save your money and buy a different printer. Do not buy from this vendor since the printer was renewed I feel that it was not done correctly and now we have to... read more
