Smear..Smear..Smear I should have paid attention to other reviews on this printer. Everything I print..has black smudges and smears. I have clean the drum a number of times. The black smudges and smears dissipate and then get worst again. Then have to start the cycle over. DONT buy this printer! This is my first and LAST Brother printer. I'm going back to HP.
Disconnects from wifi immediately after printing Every time I want to print, I have had to reinstall this printer. Just setting it onto the wifi network doesn't even seem to work, I have to go through the whole process. Super frustrating! I have done some googling and other people have posted potential solutions to this apparently common problem which I will try. But this shouldn't be on me, even if they do work, Brother should include clear instructions on how to avoid this issue right out of the box.
REALLY LOUD This thing is a beast. It's SUPER LOUD, and anytime we use it, you can't be in the same room if you are on the phone. However, it does print high capacity, fast.
Thi is a waste Since i have bought this. The tray does not work properly. Even if the paper isloaded it says no paper. Paper gets stuck in the drum. I am so done with this printer.
Memory Failure! Printer is now failing. Software issue. Data remains in memory and can't be cleared. Went through the complete Brother diagnostic process and was told that I need a new one. But it is now out of warranty.

One Star paper jam not a reliable product I will advise not buy this product
expect to waste a lot of paper reprinting First page when the printer is cold always has toner marks all over the background and is unusable. Unless you are constantly using it and keeping it warm, expect to waste a lot of paper reprinting. We tried three Brother printers, two different models and every one was the same, brand new out of the box. Terrible grinding noise after 2 months After 2 months this printer started making a terrible grinding noise and I have reset everything and it will go away for a moment and then comes nack within a few prints. I am reaching out to the company today and will update this post as to how they handle the matter but very disappointed,
