We brought our dog to Hudson Highland to see Dr. McNamara. I was a little hesitant at first because I heard that the office could be rude. This could not be further from the truth. Dr. McNamara and his team were awesome. Dr. McNamara explained everything to us in detail. After my dogs surgery I received an email from the office with a picture of my dog and a nice message saying I'm doing great can't wait to see you. I have also called with questions and they answered all my questions without any fuss and encouraged me to cal... read more

I'm giving Hudson Highlands 4 stars because while their veterinarians and vet techs are wonderful, some of their front desk staff are quite rude and need a lesson in bedside manner.

My 10 year labradoodle recently became ill and was referred to this practice and to Dr Broussard. We are in the process of finding out what is going on with her but I couldn't be more pleased with the care and great communication from Dr Broussard by both email and phone. Great place

I have to say Hudson Highlands Veterinary Hospital AND Dr. Paul McNamara are as good as it gets! My German Shepherd just went through a major surgery to have his spleen removed. Turned out he had a tumor the size of a cantaloupe attached to his spleen. Everything went great and he is home recovering nicely. This is the second German Shepherd dog of mine that Dr. McNamara has performed this same splenectomy surgery on. The first one(several yrs ago) was successful too. The level of professionalism from Dr. McNamara and the ... read more

I would like to start out by saying the entire staff at Hudson Highland has provided us only exemplary care throughout the years. Each and every time my two girls (Crystal & Lizzy) and I visit, we are provided warmth, care and outstanding medical attention 365 days of the year. No matter the time, they are there for us. ALL the doctors and staff are above amazing! Recently, my 8-year-old baby girl, Lizzy, needed knee surgery on both back legs. Of course, we reached out to Dr. Paul McNamara (Uncle Paul to all his pat... read more

Hudson Highlands Veterinary Medical Group is professional and compassionate. I highly recommend them. Over the past 8 years, my two lab-mix rescue dogs each tore their cranial cruciate ligament (CCL, similar to the ACL in humans), first on one rear leg, then on the other. This is a difficult injury for the dog and for the family. To heal well requires surgery and at least eight weeks of significant care and restrictions. The bright spot in this sad saga is that both dogs recovered completely both times and were able t... read more

Dr. Furst is amazing with pets and with explaining every thoroughly to me, always taking his time and never rushing even if it's a busy day. I recommend everyone to him when the opportunity presents itself. Thank you for always helping my babies with such care!!! I will never go anywhere else!

I cannot say enough good things about this group. Sammy is the second dog I have taken there since moving back to the area. From care kenneling at the Beacon location with GIGi, Kimber, Jose, Emma, Karen, Maggie and Aleah to undergoing surgery at the Lime Kiln office with Dr. Christiansen and Dr. Whitefield my fur babies are always cared for with compassion. I can continue on with the names but there are too many. I have no problem saying the entire staff is always kind and accommodating. I have been and continue to appre... read more

We've been to a lot of vets with our senior dog and our experience here has been nothing but positive. Every staff member we've dealt with has been courteous and kind. We see a "traveling cardiologist" here, Doctor Goodwin, who is kind to our pit bull and patient with our questions. We like that we are in the room with our dog for the exam, unlike other vets we've been to. When our dog needed a referral, the cardiologist referred us to another doctor at the practice, Doctor Furst. A receptionist went over and beyond to book... read more
