I used the American Family Urgent Care on Whitesburg. It was clean and the staff was very polite and nice. My only complaint is that the doctor seemed to be moving in slow motion. I waited about 45 minutes to get in to an exam room. Another 45 minuted before the doctor came in to see me. She ordered a throat swab for strep throat. After a half hour, I asked a staff member if they had forgotten me. The said the swap was not ordered yet. I over heard the staff say the doctor had not placed the order. Katherine at the desk was very nice and helpful. Answered all my questions. NP was thorough and I was in and out quickly.
Super quick and friendly staff. The office is very clean and professional. The physician is very knowledgeable and will get you sorted out very efficiently.
They have no business being in healthcare, made an appt for 12:20, after waiting an hour I asked when I would be seen. "Oh we haven't gotten to the 12:00's yet" the corpulent burger loving clerk has zero compassion and while I was there I witnessed a profound level of disrespect to people. She laughed at an old man.
My daughter came here for urgent care.. the clown at the desk told her she had to wait two hours. She called me crying so I went up there and simply asked the Doctor on call where is the urgency in urgent care, she told me the facility wasn't an emergency room and called the police on me. Yes I'm a black woman and the police do not scare me. The fact that she felt secure in calling the police on a black woman because she couldn't comprehend my simple question is beyond me.. and clearly her too. This place is trash.
Do not even attempt to walk-in or make an appointment through the Solv app. These people do not care to do their job and you will wait hours between the waiting room and one of their patient rooms. I peeked my head out of one of the patient rooms to ask when I would be seen and the staff were all socializing instead of tending to patients. I walked out then called their regional office.
Very slow workers don't want to work and this is a urgent care too help people, if you don't want to be a nurse or even help then find another career! I hope everyone gets fired here and they send new people because this is unacceptable‼‼‼
This place is a joke!! I was VERY sick, signed in and had a place with only one person in front of me. While waiting, 4 other people walked in 15 - 40 minutes AFTER my confirmed time - ALL BLACK FOLKS, and they were placed ahead of me even tho their sign-in time was 15 - 40 minutes AFTER my confirmed registered time. You want to know why they have a 1 star rating?!? Because they Do NOT care!!! Not a client in sight and cannot help you, screw you around with some BS telehealth that then gets cancelled then they do not have walking as advertised.
