I made an appointment to bring in my elderly, sick cat to end her suffering. After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I left. It’s hard enough to have to say goodbye to a beloved companion, but being kept waiting for that moment is callous and cruel.
Where to start….. well if I could give zero stars I would hands down. I setup an appointment for one cat to be dewormed. The entire experience was a complete nightmare!!! I have worked in animal shelters and never have I seen such a poorly run practice. I was immediately escorted to a room when I arrived. That is where the positives end. Dr. Smith was a great vet, but the moment she left and Dr. Shaw took over, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. His non chalant attitude and apathetic nature is what ultimately caused my baby to suffer in a crate for four hours, until I finally took her somewhere else where they had her up and better within ten minutes. Unfortunately it was too late.
I have called twice for Ideal to see my dog due to an issue that has arisen and both times they couldn’t see her for days. Today I called because she appears to have an ear infection. It’s Monday morning at 7:45 and they can’t see her until Thursday. I asked what to do for her pain until then and the answer was nothing. Apparently animals are not the priority for this vet.
I took Stacia there yesterday. she was in such distress. she has slept all night and so has everyone else
Staff was EXTREMELY rude when I called to make my cat an appointment and explained to them that the visit would be paid for by the shelter where I adopted him. Would not set up an appointment for a respiratory virus without first confirming payment, which I could have easily given a phone number for had the woman not been so rude and demanding. I will be finding a new vet, preferably one that won't hang up on me.
