Indra scammed my elderly parents into switching to them over the phone (nothing signed). Their rates increased 700% after 3 months. It's a disgrace how they prey on people!

I received a letter today saying welcome to my new energy supplier and I never spoke to anyone about switching, I wouldn't do that I have been in that situation before, not worth the headache, so someone at the company took it upon themselves to say I consented to a switch ,which is not the case, it's saddening to know that this is the way people have to operate to get business, anywho emailed the company today, just got letter and if it doesn't get resolved then I will be taking legal matters upon them

SCAM- Avoid Intra Energy Overcharged and Harassed I paid ******** in just 2 months after switching to Intra Energy. They promised savings but my bills doubled. Even worse, they kept calling me aggressively after I told themy to stop. Dont fall for the trap stick with your original provider!

I had a guy knock on my door explaining that I would be charged a certain amount. That lasted a couple months next thing I know I have an electric bill 7 times the amount that it normally would have been. Im struggling as it is and now I have to deal with this.

Indra Energy signed me up for their service WITHWOUT my consent! When I received mail from them informing me about my enrollment I immediately called and cancelled their service. When I called customer service, they said that a sales agent "*****" came to my home and signed me up. I never spoke to any ***** or any sales agent so I asked to speak to the supervisor in the sales department and they would not transfer my call or give me the number. i brought my first home in Dec 2024, I received my first electric bill about a month later. This company had charged me ****** for supply charges! Triple than what they had before I moved! Harassing phone calls all day and night. Told them multiple times to take me off their call list and they refuse.
The man that knocked on my door told me he worked for my current energy company and could get me better rates which sounded good. Of course it turns out that it was an entirely different energy company which would've been fine if he was honest upfront. So once I get mail saying Indra Energy I immediately called to cancel because I was upset. I was given the cancellation confirmation number for both gas and electric.
