Just rented a space at *** *** *** in Round Rock, TX. The "leasing" service - don't remember his name was very helpful. Tracy - the lady at the storage facility was exceptional. So pleasant and helpful. She picked up my day with her attitude which is important when going thru the hell of moving. ***** ********

Terrible business practices the lady ********* **** up in out face stop answering the phone and to top it off did not issue a refund upon us leaving after two days the walls are coming apart it is not climate controlled what so ever Rat droppings everywhere inside the units as well cockroaches. And then stated she cannot give me a refund because she we move into the wrong units if you want the best upkeep for your items do NOT rent from this Extra Space Storage 6800 military trail just go to *********

I am filing this complaint against Extra Space Storage regarding an extremely unprofessional interaction with an employee named ***** at the ***********, ********** location at ************************************ the office with a simple question regarding my lease agreement and the late-fee policy. I paid the first six months in advance at $52 a month. After the six months were up, the rate goes to $104 a month. When I call to complain, the store manager tells me that the best she can do is $99 a month and that is a great deal. A call to customer service is no help since they are off shore. I left a Yelp review and an ***** S says to call to discuss the problem. No one at their corporate office, off shore call center or local location has heard of this person. Beware of this business. I started the reservation process for a storage unit this past weekend and entered my credit card details, but I changed my mind before signing the rental agreements and closed out of the page without completing. I rented a united in *********, **. And I'd highly recommend not renting from these crooks. I moved my stuff into this unit before it was purchased by "extra space" they have consistently and constantly raised my rent. They have never, not once contacted me via phone, email, or regular mail to let me know that prices would be increasing. They just continued to charge whatever they wanted each month without notification. I have never needed the size unit I'm in, but it was all that was available when I moved in 3 years ago. This corrupt corporation needs to be put out of business. They buy all the storage facilities in the area and jack the rent up to an outrageous price. From $75 a month to $183 a month, after they purchased the place. In February 2026, I rented a 10x10 storage unit from Extra Space Storage for $83 per month. After only four months, my rent was increased from $83 to $147.When I contacted the office, they told me that this was mentioned on page 9 of the rental agreement, which states that the rental terms may change with 30 days notice and that the monthly rental charge can be increased due to market conditions or for any other reason.I was also told that 10x10 units are currently around $180, so I should consider myself lucky. My unit rental more than doubled!! When calling the office, the customer service agent replied with, "om my god," - I asked to speak with a manager and was told they would have manager call be back- 2 hours later, nothing. I called the office bk and was told- he will call you tomorrow, hes busy.
