Wow, what can I say! First time in Boston and I had checked this place out before we came. I’m so glad we had a chance to grab lunch here today! My boyfriend and I both had the hot lobster roll. YUM!! The roll was stuffed with lobster meat, well worth the 30.99! It was falling out all over so you basically had a second meal. Lobster bisque was yummy and so was the coleslaw. I will 10/10 recommend this to any of my friends or family who visit the area and we will come back on our next trip to Boston! 🦞

I have sent many many people from NY/NJ to James Hook!! Lobster rolls are my favorite, you can actually taste the salty freshness in their lobster, it’s unbelievably fresh. The clam chowder is The Best in Boston, hands down. Also my last visit, I told the counter man my ride home was 4-5 hours, I ordered 4 lobster rolls and 2 quarts of chowder. He packed the lobster meat and rolls separate AND ON ICE!! He went over and above for my order. I have been a faithful customer for 7 years now and I refuse to go elsewhere!!

Doesn't look like much from the outside and inside there are limited tables, but the good is really good. Lobster rolls are the best and crab cakes are some of the best I have had. they also are a fish market with a variety of seafood to bring home and cook. highly recommend!
