having to replace a heater after 3 years is unacceptable. I will never purchase another Jandy product.

Heater broke upon first use. Made a loud rumbling sound and began shooting out copper wires. Awaiting warranty reps to fix/replace

Our heater broke after 3 years, very disappointed as our previous Jandy heater lasted 13 years. Unfortunately, the warranty is only good for 2 years.

Customer services was focused on how to avoid warranty. I replaced a pentair 400K for this jandy. the plumbing was connected by a licence gas company and the the two wires were connected by my brother and i, both of us are qualified for that simple change including my brother which is an electrician but i didnt notice the "I catch you" questions at the beginning of the talk with customer services and i told them that i simple connect ed the wires because the old and new heather were very similar. after 5 month and 5 or 6 u... read more

Purchased from local pool supply. Service tech came out to install. Call tech back within the hour of installation that and came back following day to check and realized blower motor was bad. Was then told that would have to go through the manufacturer. After weeks of unanswered calls and emails I was able to finally get someone to come out and confirm that it was bad out of the box. However instead of replacing the unit that never worked out of the box I was told that they would just replace the bad motor. Less than a hour ... read more

We installed our new pool a year ago and Jandy’s equipment broke down within months of the install. Warranty? What warranty! We contacted Jandy to notify them that their heater broke and their AquaPure system. For those of you that do not know what their AquaPure system is, well it produces chlorine to treat the water in your pool. We looked into your account and it looks like the heat exchanger was leaking due to water chemistry and there may not have been a check valve between the salt cell and the heater. Our warranty covers manufacturer defects, but does not cover parts due to "corrosion, erosion, scaling, calcification or other conditions caused by water hardness, chemical imbalance, or lack of product maintenance". The heater would not ignite at low pool pump speeds of 1000 RPM, 1250 rpm, 2,500 rpm or 3,000 rpm. It would only work at the highest speed of 3450 rpm, using up a lot of electric energy and after a while it would give me an error code even at 3450 rpm. I had to have it replaced and I hope that it will not give me the same problems this summer as last summer.
