Purchased from local pool supply. Service tech came out to install. Call tech back within the hour of installation that and came back following day to check and realized blower motor was bad. Was then told that would have to go through the manufacturer. After weeks of unanswered calls and emails I was able to finally get someone to come out and confirm that it was bad out of the box. We installed our new pool a year ago and Jandy’s equipment broke down within months of the install. Warranty? What warranty! We contacted Jandy to notify them that their heater broke and their AquaPure system. For those of you that do not know what their AquaPure system is, well it produces chlorine to treat the water in your pool. Our warranty covers manufacturer defects, but does not cover parts due to "corrosion, erosion, scaling, calcification or other conditions caused by water hardness, chemical imbalance, or lack of product maintenance". The heater would not ignite at low pool pump speeds of 1000 RPM, 1250 rpm, 2,500 rpm or 3,000 rpm. It would only work at the highest speed of 3450 rpm, using up a lot of electric energy and after a while it would give me an error code even at 3450 rpm. I had to have it replaced and I hope that it will not give me the same problems this summer as last summer.

When the heater works is great. When there's something wrong with it, getting service is a nightmare. I waited on the phone for a Jandy technician. Each time they come back line to tell me how much longer the wait is it keeps getting longer. It went from 6 minutes to 48 minutes. I waited almost an hour on the phone and was still told that I had another 48 minutes to wait. I’ve been through 3 units in 6 years, works great when they work. They absolutely suck, I’ve be one an expert repairman on these units. I have replaced at least 10 igniters and can do it less that 3 minutes. High temp sensors, at least 6 replacements. The major problem is the combustion chamber, they leak after about 2 yrs (salt pool). The unit is not meant for long term use.
