When the heater works is great. When there's something wrong with it, getting service is a nightmare. I waited on the phone for a Jandy technician. Each time they come back line to tell me how much longer the wait is it keeps getting longer. It went from 6 minutes to 48 minutes. I waited almost an hour on the phone and was still told that I had another 48 minutes to wait. Lasted 3 years at my home in Florida. Cracked heat exchanger. How does that happen??

I’ve been through 3 units in 6 years, works great when they work. They absolutely suck, I’ve be one an expert repairman on these units. I have replaced at least 10 igniters and can do it less that 3 minutes. High temp sensors, at least 6 replacements. The major problem is the combustion chamber, they leak after about 2 yrs (salt pool). The unit is not meant for long term use.

Strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. We bought a JXi400N. It lasted 24 months. A far cry from the 7-10 years Jandy promotes. Worse, when we spoke with Jandy rep they said (1) we 100% stand behind our product and (2) sorry, you're out of warranty, so tough luck. They both can't be true. But, rep encouraged us to buy another Jandy heater. Uh...no way. We have replaced, but not with a Jandy. that was several thousand $ wasted.

If I could give no stars I would. Installed by professional used twice and it burnt out. Literally. When removed cover to see what problem was there was a brown burn mark on cover. Called manufacturer, they immediately knew what was wrong, said would send out power distribution board replacement, and they also suggested replacing the transformer at this time to prevent it from happening again. Jesse Perez Houston,TX The service man said this was the top of line and in the last five years of installing these units, he's had to service a couple of the units for minor repairs. It's April 2020 and just replaced my old pool heater with a new Jandy JXI400N I'm hoping to get at least 12/15 yrs. of service with this unit as I did with my old one. We'll see how the Jandy warranty holds out and if the company will stand behind it's product if I should have any problems within the warranty period.I'll rewrite another review... read more

Heater may be good. But not compatible with other brand equipment. When we purchased it sales rep said it would be compatible and would be able to be controlled with existing equipment. NOT true!!! Now we have to upgrade entire system in order to function with inside remote control. Customer NOT happy!!!!
