4.0 out of 5 stars necessary for salt pool This replaces an original Jandy salt cell which was 6 years old. Installing it wasn't too bad. I struggle to understand how a hunk of plastic, some cables and a little metal can cost over $1,000. But no choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anyone can handle this install, easy to do but becareful. Easy to install, follow the directions. After installing, if your pump doesnt turn back on, check your timer system. I had to reset the time on my system, reprogram the pumps and set the chlorinator to 45. I couldnt figure out why my pumps wouldnt turn on but after reading the big print warning to check your timer function, I figured it out. Read to comprehend not just to install. Learn from my mistakes.
