Direct replacement The original lasted 5 years, so I can't really complain about the price. Since switching to salt, I do nothing for pool maintenance and it's perfect. So, for roughly $100 a year, I'm ok with having to get new ones on occasion.
Worked as designed. Replaced a 8 year old AquaPure salt cell. Install was easy and it worked perfectly. Pool maintenance company quoted >$800 to replace so this saved me a ton of money.
