We received a gift card from a family member for $100 USD as a Christmas Present and were excited about enjoying a meal at this restaurant. The gift card was purchased directly from Joey's, not a 3rd party. We went and everything initially about the restaurant was very enjoyable. The food was very good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience until the cheque arrived. My husband had the buttered chicken Aug 20th. He said the chicken was tough and some was burnt. Woke up at 3:00am with terrific pain. Went to the hospital and was operated on at 2:00 pm for a twisted bowel. Stayed in the hospital for 8 days.
We had a 2-hr window, 40 minutes of which was taken up waiting for a server to come to our table when we arrived and waiting for our bill at the end. We would have ordered coffee and dessert had she approached us earlier.
They allowed a predator to continue working there after being informed of one of their employees sexually assaulted someone and was being brought on charges Both management and HR were informed And continued to let this man work at this establishment and be around staff and customers That employee was found guilty in court. I hope next time you put the safety of others over your own reputation
The food is good, but if you plan on having more than one drink you better go somewhere else.

La nourriture fut excellente mais nous avons eu le pire service d’accueil de toute ma vie.
