Spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Joey’s Shipyards. Great balcony. Great food and even better service .
I reserved a table for my husband and I for my birthday. We were seated promptly and to my surprise we got a table on the outside patio. The weather was perfect and the view was fantastic. Prior to being seated we were served a lovely glass of bubbly wine (yummy and a nice touch). We had chicken wing appies and gyoza for an appy and the steak and cheeseburger for dinner. Excellent waiter! Very attentive and friendly! Fast service
The food was not quite as elegant as it has been in the past. The Tuna Poke Bowl was lackluster and it missed the mark for a blend of taste and texture. The tuna club sandwich was more of a sandwich than a club. It seem to me that the kitchen had the B team in place. The Aperol Spritz had too much ice and it took away the flavors. We had a wonderful time. I believe It was Lauren she gave us two tables close by to each other with a beautiful view in the front with a view. Our server was amazing and very efficient in calculating our bonus cards and bringing us our meals in time
There were 4 of us Friends from 60+ years who had a reunion lunch. The restaurant was short staffed at noon on a Wednesday and our server was stretched. He was attentive to us but forgetful ( a straw, hand wipes, lemons/limes). Although "little stuff" it can make for delays especially after chicken wraps. We were celebrating our friend’s birthday. She had a wonderful time and so did we. The food was top notch and Cassandra,our server, ensured our needs were met. I look forward to returning. With an ocean view, excellent service and delicious food, it doesn’t get better. Thank you for a great evening and making our friend’s birthday special.
