Such a fantastic time at JOEY Woodland Hills. I had the JOEY burger, which is unlike anything in the valley!!! So delicious. Also their peach Bellini is a must! I can’t wait to be back soon.
Service was poor from start to finish. When we walked in and approached the host stand, the host looked directly at our party but didn’t acknowledge or greet us. She just stared at us and then walked away. Eventually, another host came up to the stand and also failed to acknowledge us, so I greeted her first.. Once seated, our server took our order and then never returned to check on us. I understand restaurants can get busy, but we waited about 50 mins before I finally had to wave her down. I was not happy with the service we received. Our waiter only came to our table once to take our order and never returned until we requested the tab. We asked for an order to be split and it wasn't for my two sons. We never were refilled water or our drinks. The only perfect service I have received has been at the bar at this point I won't return to in main room dinning.
Here’s the story! We arrived at the restaurant at 8:00 PM. It was Mother’s Day—a holiday—so I completely understand that the place was packed and everyone was swamped! However, we waited until 8:45 PM to be seated; once at our table, we sat there for another 20 minutes, and not a single person came over to us. At that point, just on principle, I said to my wife, "Let's just keep sitting here at this empty table!" 😂 Finally, we got up silently and left.
