So Journey Homes has 8 negative reviews and 24 customer complaints, with only 4 positive reviews and they get an A+ rating from the BBB? I shared my review a year ago and told the world how this company illegally cancelled my contract and kept (stole) $6000 in good faith earnest money paid by me, and my review disappeared. Not only that, empty liquor bottles found at the building site is one reason why the houses are built so poorly. Can we trust the BBB or have they been bought? Listen to reason folks. The numbers are telli... read more

I have worked with Journey Homes for years, on a professional level (I am a real estate agent). My family decided to buy one of their homes, knowing fully these homes are very much "lower" quality than most. However we decided it would be a good investment to buy a standard home, and build it up over time. And as I said, we knew very well we would be getting what we paid for (which we have). And as many reviewers have said, warranty items either weren't "covered", or it was only slightly after the 1 year mark we noticed thin... read more

This is the worst builder you could ever use. They have shotty work my home is barely coming up on 3 yrs old the rockface on home falling off(multiple times they just glue it on), backyard grade not done correctly(my entire yard floods every rain storm and the refuse to have the grade checked and fixed) concrete patio not poured correctly/reinforced, large sliding door not installed correctly, all vinyl flooring peeling off the floor, lights in kitchen constantly blow(ive gone throw many lights including leds and they swear ... read more

Bought home and they don't fix anything on ur punch list or anything on the list or it takes them months to fix. Then when they feel like it's been complete then close the work order without ur signature we still have work that needed to be done and still not fixed completely and it's been over a year and they closed out the work order

Journey Homes is a second rate home builder that is not concerned about quality but quantity. We had a house built by Journey Homes 2 years ago and there are nothing but problems that span past the warranty period because the quality of the product is poor. During the warranty period it was almost impossible to get things fixed and they drag their feet. They hire subcontract companies that do not do the job correct and some things are questionable on being to code. They only do a job that will get by. It has only been 2 year... read more

I love the layout of my home but that is about it. The quality in the materials that were used to build it and the workmanship of putting it together is horrible. Two years later there are still things on my punch list that were never fixed by Journey. For the few things they did address were done so half ***** and made things look worse. I would have been better off leaving them alone and hiring quality contractors. One of my biggest concerns are all the concrete issues. Take a drive in Park Meadows in Wellington, CO and yo... read more

Business response:

While we acknowledge Mrs. *****’s concerns and are always concerned with customer satisfaction, the Limited Warranty Agreement signed by Mrs. ***** expired on October 29, 2015. Our records indicate that during the one-year warranty period, Mrs. ***** made several claims on warrantable items and all of those claims were addressed and the claims were signed off by Mrs. ***** as acceptable. Our records indicate there are no outstanding warranty items. As always, if any homeowner would like Journey Homes to review an issue that ... read more

I submitted my initial request to have my concrete flatwork looked at by the Journey Homes Warranty Department on May 19 2015 that was denied. I sent a Request for appeal on July 20th 2015 to be denied again. My driveway has sunk 6 inches in some areas, cracked, and heaved up in others. It has not been fixed, but my neighbor was able to get their entire front patio and driveway replaced at no cost to them. I would like mine to be replaced as well...

Several initial punch list items were not repaired and identification tape removed. Had to take several different days off of work to accommodate contractors so some of the repairs could get done. Walls are bowed out on the interior. People doing the initial walk through bully and push you through and say they will not fix somethings like roof flashing and bent garage door. House is under contract and inspector came through and found a support beam pounded in with a hammer and not secured to anything. They won't let you take... read more

Business response:

Pursuant to the contract, homeowner had the right to do an inspection on the home prior to closing. Inspections cannot be done at the same time as the walk through. After review of the walk through agreement, all items were addressed. The walk through agreement has no reference to any of the homeowner's claimed damage to the doors and trim. Warranty claim was made by the homeowner regarding the doors and trim after the warranty had expired. All warranted items submitted during the homeowner's warranty period were addressed. ... read more

Journey homes quality is subpar to competitors. Will only warranty their build for 1 year, if that tells you about their workmanship. Pay extra and go with a real home builder. They use recycled 2x4 that are peoced together to make length needed. Customer service is lacking. Fail to work around customer needs. Unwilling to help if not convenient for them. Keep giving me the run around on warranty claim status and updates.

Business response:

We have communicated with the homeowner directly.
