I would have to write for two hours to explain the manhandling, abuse, dysfunction and sometimes edible food. Hope I am out soon. I have a collapsed lung. This is what MediCAL will get you. DON'T GO THERE!!
Watching my mom go through what she did at this rehab facility broke my heart. The lack of care and compassion she received was beyond horrible. No family should ever have to worry if their loved one is being treated with dignity and kindness. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you truly love your family, please find somewhere else where they will be cared for the way they deserve.
Terrible communication with the administration. Nothing gets done that the patient or their advocate requests. Must have an advocate if going to this place. One nurse and some nurses aides were very helpful. Good luck ever seeing a doctor.
They did not treat my Mother in laws eye infection Now we're at the er I can't believe they would not help her
The worst place ever. Therapy horrible this place is horrible. They don't feed my uncle and he was feeding assist.
Beware ! Dont pay attention to these good reviews! Do not use this facility if you care about your family member! My brother-in-law was just released in the last 4 months after suffering from a stroke! Because of these high ratings my sister chose this facility! Major Mistake! Not only did he not receive proper care! No Onsite visiting physician to keep family informed and therapy was sporadic or nonexistent! This place is a joke... the nurse didn't come when my Mom called needing help to the restroom and she fell out of bed right after having knee surgery two days priot. She was there even 24 hours. My son and I went and got her. I am setting up home therapy. DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!
My husband was sent to Kern River Transitional Care from the hospital. They took him at about 7:30pm so I couldn't go up till the next day. He was in there about 14 hours and he called me, after begging them for hours to call me. Our son was on his way up there with the only car I have to drive. When I answered the phone my husband said get me out of here now! He didn't want to say too much because they were standing right there. MY son got there and had a bottle of water for his dad. This facility has the lowest sense of human kindness I have ever seen first hand. My family would go visit our grandmother but because of Covid the visits were through her room window. We used a cell phone on speaker to communicate with her on our visits. My Grandma was here for months recovering from a stroke and was treated like she didn't matter. The nurses would deny her water stating the kitchen was closed. They were rude, never had time to adjust her position in bed, took hours to respond to simple requests. No one sho... read more
