Exceptional and quality care was given to my father who was there to receive rehab for strengthening and endurance. Despite my father being a bit non-compliant with recommendations, the nursing and PT/OT staff were supportive and accommodating of his challenging behavior. The facility itself is like the Ritz Carlton of nursing home/rehab centers in Bakersfield.

Very good care! All employees are kind and hard working! Moms been their 6 weeks and making improvements until she caught this cough/ flu today She's 85 n praying she pulls thru this like she has last 3 years!! Great team of nurses and quality care

Kern River is incredible -- definitely a home away from home! We are delighted we chose this facility after much research to find just the right place for our beloved brother Edward who was accustomed to only the best. Ed had a stroke & lost use of his limbs. KRTC's quality care has made a great difference for Ed as well as for our family. We are pleased that he receives compassionate care and attention daily. In my search for a skilled nursing facility,,I was admitted to Kern River Transitional Care from my hospital stay and boy was I lucky. What a nice place it is, (I made it my permanent home). I am so happy here! The facility is so clean and smells so good it's a blessing to be in. The staff here are so eager to help me in my needs. And always around close to help me if I need something with just the push of my call light! My elderly dad fell and had to go into skilled nursing from his injury and subsequent bedsore. We chose KRTC because of its light, bright interiors and his home health PT, who we learned, also worked there. We couldn't have asked for better care throughout his recovery. They made every accommodation that was needed, including when he came down with C-diff due to his 3 rounds of antibiotics. Their rapid response and re-rooming to stop any spread was truly phenomenal. We can't speak highly enough of his time there!

I can't say enough about the care here at Kern. Cynthia a CNA was very caring with my sister. She went above and beyond in her hospice care. She is very dedicated to her work and very compassionate. When you can't care for an individual at home. I highly recommend this facility. Liz in the front office also great. She made it quick and painless thru out the who process.

The staff at this facility are amazing! I have spent about 6 to 7 hours a day in the facility while they provide quality care to my mother for two weeks and the staff is always positive, kind, encouraging, compassionate and caring. The facility is very clean. The care is top notch. We are very happy with Kern River Transitional Care And highly recommend. Special thanks to Cynthia, Maria,Lauren, Alex, Morgan, Jason, Grace, Taylor, Julie, Caleb.
