Unfortunately, I was not very welcomed by Yogi Patel the first time because I did not have an appointment. I did not take it personally and even was " ashamed" to interrupt classes, as I was told because they have nobody at front desk for information as all schools I have been touring. Children are kept 'working' all day and few minutes to have fun or relax in the playground. Toddlers are separated from bigger kids (they have their own playground) High turnover of teachers and administrative staff every few months with no previous notifications to parents. Not able to address appropriately simple issues like kids hitting or biting other kids. Condescending treatment to parents. Parents are not involved at all in children's education. Dear Kelly, I realize that you are not a past or current parent at our school. Maybe this is the wrong school? Some of the notes written are generic and apply to many schools in the area. Much like Marie F's experience, though for a year. Our daughter started at 18 mos, left at 2 1/2. This was not her first school/care, so separation was not a problem for us. She had many teachers that year b/c of turnover and we weren't notified or introduced to the new teacher. She was moved into the 3yo room at 2 1/2 yrs old, purposely separated from her friends, with a brand-new-out-of-school teacher and 23 other students up to 5yo. She was overwhelmed. I sent my son here for the toddler program for about 4 months in the half day program and overall, I would say this was more like an expensive daycare than a school. It didn't feel right to me from the start and after my son got sick repeatedly (which I expected upon starting school), our doctor suggested I pull him out of school and start again when he's older.
