There was a funny smell in the hallways and the hotel was dirty.

Worst stay in my life, Checked in to roaches being in the Bed, their was no alternative provided just that the desk clerk would check another room for roaches, staff overnight staff had an attitude and didn’t want to assist in my refunds or reimbursement this really interrupted my weekend stay being that it was carnival weekend and all other hotels were sold out, resulted in me traveling to another city to find another hotel With availability, I will never book this hotel again

The property is dated: the elevator is slow; there's no A/C in the hallways, lobby. They are refurbishing the rooms and we were mistakenly given a room that wasn't fully done yet, with parts of the window still uninstalled. We were then moved into another room -only once the manager came in, as the person on the night shift that talked to us told us the hotel was 'sold out' but they clearly had rooms available. Dated elevator. We stayed on 4th floor, and it took some time to get to our floor. It was hot in the hallway. The hotel must be “pet friendly” because we were woke up by dogs barking around 3-4am.

Horrible hotel, left my sweater the room, informed them as soon I left will pick up on Monday, no traces of my sweater. Thiefs working there. Don't go to this La Quinta, there are nicer and safe ones in Plantation.
