I personally would NOT take my sick animal to be treated by Dr. Amanda Riesterer, because of the fact that she blocks and refuses to treat a very sick animal due to her PERSONAL relationship with a certain individual, who spews venomous lies regarding a former friend of his. For this "vet" to taint her profession by bringing her PERSONAL life BEFORE treating a very sick animal, this is highly UNPROFESSIONAL, and this should NOT be tolerated. If she can block and refuse to treat a very sick animal over a very highly manipulat... read more

I was friends with AMANDA RIESTERER and she has treated both of my pets. I reached out to her, because my 12 year old cat is ill. AMANDA RIESTERER BLOCKED ME FROM FACEBOOK and refused to even acknowledge my animals illness. AMANDA RIESTERER IS A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PERSON. DO NOT TRUST HER AT ALL. She'll act like your friend, but when you need her, SHE WILL TURN HER BACK ON YOU!!! SHE'S A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PERSON. For a Vet to have absolutely NO COMPASSION for a sick animal is vexatious!! STAY AWAY FROM THI... read more

After adopting a cat from Petco (originally from Anderson Animal Shelter) we were informed we had a free vet check up to a certain list of clinics. We chose Lake Street due to knowing nothing about the area, new here. We dropped her off after filling out the new patient pick up form, which asked us for a payment method but we obviously left it blank, at curb side pickup and waited about ten minutes. They called and informed us they had given her a shot and we needed to pay $75 because it wasn’t covered. I’m curious why didn’... read more

After having my furry baby visit Lake Street Animal Hospital I feel the doctors care more about money then the wellness of pets. Long story short, we took our kitten here per the suggestion of the shelter when he was having some issues (gagging, not eating much, not defecating at all) for a few days. They jumped to x-rays right away, told us our pet might not make it through the night, and couldn't help us further because they were closing soon... sent us to an ER vet who didn't see what Lake Street saw. Because of their ina... read more

Gagging, loss of appetite, not going to the bathroom, lethargy? If your cat has any of these symptoms, don't take them here. Take them to Park Rose on Irving Park first. Lake Street cost us $1000 and never even guessed an upper respiratory infection (extremely common for these symptoms). Park Rose diagnosed and correctly treated our cat Percy in less than an hour for about $150. When I asked Dr. Griffin at Lake Street if they would continue to perform this way, she said yes, even knowing she could have saved us over $700 and... read more
