I have been going there for the last 17 years. I started there with my dog Pooh. She lived for 17 1/2 yrs and Dr. David Hertzog was there when she had to be put down. His compassion was amazing. The vets are all very caring and gentle with my cats. Their knowledge and professionalism is outstanding and they go above and beyond to ensure the health and quality of life for them. I wouldn't trust another vet clinic with my precious furry loved ones.
Took my baby there after suffering what I thought was a snake bite. They offered to keep him overnight for monitoring but no treatment was offered. They dosed him up on fluids and charged me almost $2,000 for doing nothing. Picked him up in the morning and took him straight to my primary vet. Upon examination from my vet he had multiple snake bites. We think he laid on a nest (we live out in the country,so not unheard of). My vet was floored that they didn't even start him on antibiotics just to treat anything. My vet starte... read more

We have gone to LS Animal Hospital since 1992 and will continue to do so.
Business response:
Thank you!
I have never been so disappointed in a veterinary establishment! Dr. Robert Hertzog is the worst vet I have ever taken my animals too!!! I have owned my oldest ferret for 5 years and I recently moved to the KC area and needed to see a vet because my ferrets were ill. When we went to the doctor insisted that are ferrets got into something and that’s why they were ill. We told him over and over again that there is no way that they got into anything. We explain the symptoms and he ignored the majority of them. He gave us an ant... read more
Business response:
Hi Kristy, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience with Dr. Hertzog. Please give me a call at 816-524-0464 (Kathy). Dr. Hertzog and I would like to discuss the visit and see how your ferrets are doing today.
Apparently these folks are so inept at clipping a dogs nails, that it takes 3 people to hold a chihuahua, ensuring they charge me extra. My dog isn't big enough for 3 people to hold. Its all about the money with these guys. So sad as Dr Hertzog is great Wish his staff were the same.
Business response:
Hi, thanks for the review and bringing in your little dogs for their nail trims. Hopefully you can find another facility to assist you with their needs.
For bearded dragons, your knowledge is awful. You killed my Ryuji! First time being there to get some advice on how to get my beardie to eat and you KILL HIM!!!!
Business response:
I am so sorry for your loss of Ryuji. He was so sick when the doctor saw him and was not able to save him. I know you must really miss him.
I was treated poorly. I had to leave my cat that is very scared with them because I told them that I could not wear a mask since I have a condition. I even told them my condition, but I was told that I had to leave my kitty and wait outside. It's becoming a discrimination against people with a condition like mine. People should have the freedom and choice to wear or not the mask that has been proved NOT to PROTECT anyone from the virus. The mask has more germs that attach to it, and that you spread on your hands when you tou... read more
Business response:
Hi Maria, as we indicated, we are following Jackson county mandates requiring the masks. As business owners, it is not our choice, but a order we must follow in order to continue to do business and provide care for our patients.
I left a message for my dog with the vet on Thursday and I called again today because my dog seems to be going down hill and still nobody had called me about my dog..smh
