Leo's Pet Care is pretty much as great as it gets in regards to knowledge, warmth, compassion, and friendliness. On all counts regarding my usual negatives for places like veterinarians (ie: feeling pressured to do things I would rather not, feeling put down for not understanding the technical terms, not being able to get an appointment in an appropriate time frame...etc.), they exceed my expectations and have never once caused any negative experience, all the way from making the appointment through check out. I absolutely loved my first experience bringing my first baby to Leos Pet Care! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. As anyone knows that when you have a doctors appointment there is a good chance the doctor is running behind, especially towards the end of the day... but I have never once had a doctor apologize as genuinely as Dr. Magnusson about running a LITTLE behind, it was not even that bad!!! My husband and I brought our first puppy home in September 2013. We found Leo's Pet Care through the great reviews on the Indy A-List and also by following Dr. M's Twitter account. The first time I called, I was expecting a wait to get an appointment for my pup, but they were able to fit him in the very next day. Great crew! Doctor and staff are always very helpful and knowledgable. We just moved to the area from out of state and we're lucky to find them. I have an old lab and a puppy and both have needed to get in quickly for different reasons. They could always accommodate us. I highly recommend!
Love the seamless care as I had another Doctor this visit. The care did not altered due to the systems they have in place. And the support staff continues to excel. So glad I switched over from a competitor.
After our move from Vermont to Indianapolis, we were establishing a new vet, getting vaccines up to date and doing a well visit. Based on our experience, we will keep Leo's Pet Care as our vet for our Sheltie, Maddie. I have 3 English bulldogs which are a breed that not all vets are capable of helping. I had already gone through 2 vets when I found Leo several years ago and I believe we have found our LAST vet. He is so straight forward with his diagnoses and his assistants are the best. I also greatly appreciate understanding what is going to be done with my dogs and what the costs are up front. There are no surprises in this office.
My wife and I needed a new vet, after our old vet retired. We checked Leo's on the advice of a friend, and....I'm not sure I've ever said this before...if I could give MORE than 5 stars I would. Every interaction with Dr. M, and his staff, was nothing but caring and compassionate, towards both us, and our pets. Everything is explained in layman's terms, and we've never felt "pushed"...they simply lay the facts out and allow us to make our own decisions. They're a welcome addition to Indianapolis.
We've been taking our pets to see Dr. M. For over 2 years now. We switched from our former vet and have been thrilled with the switch. Dr. M. Is easily accessible and seems to really care about each pet. I love that it's a smaller practice because it allows both pets and owners to establish a good rapport with the staff.
