A shining jewel among Washington's many jewels, the LOC consistently has some of the best exhibits in Washington, DC. Come for the architecture, stay for the history. The current display of Thomas Jefferson's personal library (which was used to re-seed the LOC after the British torched the collection in 1814) is wonderful.
