It was as a privilege to do reasearch on my family history. The Libraians helped me find two books, one very rare, about my relative, a Black Quaker, son of a slave who owned his own fleet of ships. In 1760!! Everyone was as surprised and amazed as I was. A life-changing experience in a spectacular place.
The Architecture and details on the building's interior is absolutely remarkable! A visual splendor that will leave you breathless. A must see if you are in D.C!
