The beauty of this building and it's purpose are unsurpassed. I was in awe. I'd really recommend the guided tour. The docent was a veritable fount of information about the architecture and decorations and their symbolism. This was my favorite stop on my Washington trip by far.
The inside of the Jefferson building is the most beautiful place in DC. The artwork, the craftsmanship, the colors, the detail are breath-taking. The outside looks like all the other government buildings, but the inside ... oh my! You have to see it to believe it.
Heaven for the booklovers! I'll definitely go back and spend whole two days there just to read :)
Bar none the most amazing building I have ever been in and I been in a few. More impressive than the interior of the Vatican. The mosaics, paintings, architecture and the Books! The reading Room. We could have stayed an entire day. A must see.

The most beautiful library, I have ever visited.The largest library 📚 with a collection of millions of 📚, maps, newspapers preserved and organized with care. I am glad I have the wonderful opportunity to visit DC.It's amazing to see such a wonderful architecture. It's enlightening to see diverse collection of manuscripts, 📚 WOV! I would go again and spend more time!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
