Experience was very mediocre. Food was bland, service was slow and disengaged, and overpriced.
Protein in the entrees was a very small portion relative to the carbs on the plate. I ordered the Red Drum and my fish was maybe 2-3 ounces max. I was expecting the fish to be the main attraction not an after thought.
I made a lunch reservation to celebrate my birthday with my husband. Upon arrival, I was joyfully greeted and had very high expectations for the lunch. We ordered a carriage house margarita and spinach empanadas, which were great. As a second entree, we ordered the Pork Belly Torta, and what we got was a bun sandwich. 1) Waiter got us the wrong empanadas: we ordered steak and received spinach. Since we like that option too, we decided to not complain and not return them 2) we had out mouths still full of the main course and waiter was already asking if we wanted desert. 3) we ordered desert - churros and the waiter did not take the plates of the main course em away, nor did provide us saucers to eat the churros 4) churros tasted good, but were flaky and brittle. We had to ask for spoons for our soup after a couple of minutes. We had to ask for salt and pepper and only got salt. The churros tasted as if they were cooked in old rancid oil. I order a soft drink and had to remind the server that I ordered one after the appetizer came and I still had not received the soft drink.
To start, we were greeted by 2 very nice young women. We sat down and our family members had already arrived, they drove in from Ohio. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. 2 of us shared the Brussel Sprouts, which were delicious, with mushrooms and serrano sauce. Came to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were very disappointed in the quality of the food and service. The starters were barely edible, the empanadas were fried in old oil and you could taste it. Our mains were the overall highlight of our meal. My husband enjoyed his paella, while my salad was good but similar to one from Chipotle. The service was horrible and almost as if we were disturbing our waitress by being there. We went to Livery based on a recommendation and will not be going back.
